Mountain Crest picked up its first win of the season after their defense stepped up and allowed just seven points after letting up over 100 in the first two games. The Mustangs scored in the first two minutes of the game before Nate Reynolds and the Bees immediately answered. The rest of the game was a dogfight, but Preston Lofthouse was able to find the end zone right before halftime to give Mountain Crest the lead. Lofthouse would score again in the middle of the fourth quarter, extending the advantage to two scores for good.
