The Thunder prevailed in overtime to pull out the huge win in the 3A playoffs. After Bear River converted on a 25-yard pass play and Riley Steed made the extra point to put the Bears up seven, Desert Hills retaliated with a nine-yard TD conversion from Porter Harris to Tanner Atkin. The Thunder went for two and the win and Harris connected with Darian Nielson in the endzone to bury the Bears. Harris tossed two touchdown catches in the game, while Hunter Payne accounted for Bear River's first-half score. Desert Hills will now face Delta in the 3A quarterfinals.
