Ben Macey led an 87-yard drive with under two minutes remaining as the Grizzlies came back from a 20-point second-half deficit to defeat the Thunderbirds in the final seconds. Macey hit Roger Ellis with 23 seconds remaining in the corner of the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown to cap the comeback. Behind quick quarterback Stephen Covey, the T-Birds built a 23-3 lead midway through the third quarter when Covey connected with Andrew Badger for a 43-yard touchdown pass. The momentum changed when Logan blocked a punt for a safety on Timpview's next possession. Two straight Logan touchdown drives set up the final game-winning drive.
