Christian Rico scored twice to lead Summit Academy to a 3-2 victory over Richfield in a nonregion game. Summit Academy (1-0) recovered from a quick two-goal deficit after Richfield's Aiden Olsen and Sam Gonzalez scored in the first half. Salvador Aguayo Albornoz added the final goal for Summit Academy, while Taylor Rosen contributed two assists in the Bears' comeback win. Richfield (0-1) was unable to find an equalizer in the second and third periods.
