Layton's Rudy Jensen and Edwin Tamoua each scored two goals to lead the Lancers to a 5-3 victory over Clearfield in a nonregion game. Layton (0-1) dominated the first half with two goals and extended their lead with three more in the second half. Clearfield battled back with three goals in the second half, thanks to Kyson Weaver, Brock Schriener, and Carden Porter, but couldn't close the gap. Crew Hawley contributed three assists for Layton, while Logan Burton added another assist.
