Using a solid second quarter, No. 4 Grantsville rushed past No. 13 Ogden, 59-43, in the second round of the 3A state championship tournament. The Cowboys trailed early but used a 21-12 second quarter to take control at halftime, 33-26. They cruised from their on the back of their solid defense. Senior forward Gabe Mouritsen led Grantsville with a career-high 29 points, including three 3-pointers, while senior Cache Cooper added 12 points. The Cowboys will head to Southern Utah University on Feb. 23 for what will likely be a thrilling rivalry matchup in the quarterfinals against No. 5 Morgan. Senior Austin Johnson led Ogden with 12 points, while junior Stockton Marriott added another 11. The Tigers finished their season with an 8-12 overall record.
