The Buckaroos earned a spot in the 1A state championship game with a fast-paced victory over the Eagles. Tanner Eardley, who scored 14, and Sheldon Black, who added 13, and Austin Maloy, who finished with 10, made it tough for the Eagles to slow the squad. The Buckaroos will take on second-ranked Panguitch in the state championship game at 5 p.m. The Eagles were led by Alex Gatherum, who scored eight points, while Trent Roberts and Daniel Hanberg added seven points each in the loss. Duchesne will face region rival Rich in the third-place game Saturday.
