Alta overcame a 12-point first-half deficit and then knocked down 11 straight free throws in the final two minutes to hold off Bingham for the 5A first round victory. Landon Albrecht scored 18 points to lead Alta, while Trevor Hill chipped in with 17 points on 9 of 9 shooting from the free throw line. Alta protected the ball very well in the victory only turning it over six times, with most of those occurring in the first half.
