Green River overcame an 11-point halftime deficit by outscoring Valley 28-15 in the second half to rally for the 1A first round victory. Leading 9-7 after the first quarter, Green River went scoreless in the second quarter falling behind 20-9. Just Johnson led Green River with 13 points, but the state's leading scorer struggled throughout the day finishing 20 points below his season average. Chase Spencer and Colby Spencer led Valley in the loss with 10 points each.
