Hurricane overcame a 10-point second half deficit and a five-point deficit in the final 90 seconds to rally past Cedar to earn a spot in the 3A championship game. Hurricane's Benson Rich hit a clutch 3-pointer to tie the game and send it to overtime with 58 seconds remaining. In overtime, Cedar's Kyler Nielson cut it to 43-42 with a 3-pointer with 20 seconds remaining, but after Hurricane missed three straight free throws, the Redmen couldn't capitalize on their final possession as it resulted in a jump ball with the possession arrow pointing to Hurricane. Boston Gubler led Hurricane with 15 points.
