The Pirates held off a furious Eagle comeback in the consolation bracket of the 1A State Tournament. Jason Johnson led the team with 24 points and 11 rebounds. He also had four blocks and four steals in a tremendous defensive effort. His twin brother Justin Johnson added 20 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Adrian Escalante added four points, four steals and two assists. The win means the Pirates move on, while the loss ends Duchesne's season. The Eagles were led by Shad Thomas who scored 14 points and had three steals. Shiaba Allen added 9 points and seven rebounds in the loss.
