Wasatch whipped the Flyers in the semi-final round of the 3A boys state basketball tournament Friday night. The Wasps were led by Josh Cottle, who left the game with more than three minutes left after scoring 19 points. He was 11-12 from the freethrow line. Jeff Gertsch added 11 points, including three 3-point shots. Logan Magnusson scored 12 points in the win. The Flyers were led by Tom Whitehead who had 8 points.
