Leading by only one point at halftime, the Royals outhustled the Huskies in the second half and scored 24 points in both the third and fourth quarters to pull away. Roy improved to 5-3 with the victory and became the second 4A winner in as many games Saturday. Roy was led by Marc Lasater, who scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds and earned player of the game honors. E.J. Nelson and Shawn Jensen scored 13 and 15, respectively, for Roy. Bryce Brunson netted 19 and pulled down 10 rebounds for Hillcrest.
