Bingham's Danny Stosich poured in a team-high 19 points and Blair Prowse and Travis Ohrn added 16 and 13 points, respectively, to lead the Miners to the win over Oakland Tech. Leon Powe scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Oakland Tech, and Quentin Thomas and Maurice Dupree had 15 and 11 points each. Bingham coach John Bosco was unable to attended because of a bad case of the flu. Assistant coach Mark DuBach coached in his place. The Miners trailed by two points heading into the fourth quarter and outscored Oakland Tech 24-17 in the final quarter. With the win the Miners improve to 4-0.
