American Fork narrowly edged Skyridge 2-1 in game one of the best of three championship series in the 6A state championship. Kenny Johnson drove in a crucial run and also earned the win with seven strikeouts, while Cache Poulson added an RBI for American Fork. Skyridge managed to score a run in the fourth inning but couldn't overcome the early lead established by American Fork.
