Logan Bennett showcased his power in 3A state tournament bracket play by going 3 for 4 with two doubles, a home run, and three RBIs to lead No. 11 seed Carbon to a 13-3 victory over No. 14 seed Logan. The Dinos opened up scoring with three runs over the second and third innings and sealed the win with an eight-run surge in the fifth. Ricky Sandoval also contributed significantly to Carbon's offensive dominance, going 2 for 2 with a double and three RBIs. Logan, which managed three runs in the latter innings, couldn't contain Carbon's bats and fell short. Both teams will return to Lindquist Field for the next round.
