Snow Canyon edged Dixie 4-2 in Game 1 of the 4A state championship series at Salt Lake Community College. The Warriors (26-5) took a 3-0 lead after three innings and held off a late rally by the Flyers (27-4). Crew Secrist led Snow Canyon with a double and two RBIs, while Makaio Swensen, Hayden Smith, Ledger Shipp, and Talan Kelly each contributed a double. Kyson Goates earned the win on the mound, striking out five batters. Braxton Yates paced Dixie with a double and two RBIs, while Boston Vest and Logan Leavitt each hit a double in the loss. Yates took the loss despite striking out four batters.
