Farmington defeated Westlake 7-5 in Game 1 of the 6A Regionals. The Phoenix (10-16) took a 2-0 lead in the second inning before breaking the game open with a five-run fourth. James Peterson led Farmington, going 2 for 3 with two doubles, while Landon Leavitt added two RBIs. Gage Farr picked up the win on the mound, striking out eight batters. Jason Bruck and Joshua Boivin each went 2 for 4 for the Thunder (2-22) in the loss.
