Game Details - Baseball

Alta edged West Jordan 3-2 in Game 1 of the 5A Regionals. The Hawks (16-11) took a 2-0 lead into the sixth inning before the Jaguars (10-17) tied the game with two runs in the top of the frame. However, Alta scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to secure the victory. Logan Moeller led the Hawks, going 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI. Levi Stevensen picked up the win on the mound, striking out five batters. West Jordan managed just two hits in the loss despite a solid outing from Austin Burr, who struck out three batters.
