Cedar Valley rallied past Box Elder 8-3 in Game 1 of the 5A Regionals. The Aviators (11-16) trailed 3-1 before erupting for five runs in the third inning to take control. Brody Blodgett went 2 for 4 with two doubles to lead Cedar Valley, while Ethan Johnson added a double and an RBI. Gideon Both picked up the win on the mound, striking out five batters. Ashton Burton doubled twice and drove in a run for the Bees (13-15) in the loss.
