After being upset by No. 6 Kanab early in the tournament, No. 3 Duchesne continued its dominant run through the elimination bracket, defeating No. 8 Millard 13-2 on Thursday. Sophomore Jeshuan Johnson's home run and four RBIs helped lead the way for the Eagles, who took a 6-2 lead to the bottom of the sixth and forced a mercy rule by scoring seven in that inning. Fellow sophomore Caleb Thompson picked up the win on the mound for Duchesne, striking out fife and giving up no runs in three innings. Duchesne will now face No. 4 Beaver Thursday morning.
