Farmington's Landon Tanner struck out four and only allowed one run on six hits as the Phoenix knocked off top seed Fremont in the first game of the double-elimination championship rounds at BYU. Park Romney went 2 for 4 with a clutch RBI for Farmington. Fremont scored its only run of the game in the bottom of the seventh, but left the tying run stranded at third base on a ground out to the pitcher.
