Payton Henry went 4 for 4 with two RBI, Chase Merrell went 2 for 3 with four RBI and Derek Wall pitched 5 1/3 innings of masterful baseball to lead Pleasant Grove to its first state championship since 1998. The Vikings missed out on a chance to win the title earlier on Friday, but bounced back with a strong performance in the second game. A big fifth inning was the difference, with Henry and Merrell both recording two-run doubles.
