Taylorsville scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, the last coming on a throwing error on a pick-off attempt, to rally past Riverton for the victory in the 5A one-loss bracket. Chase Huff drove home the tying run with one out, and then with Jake Davison at the plate -- who was 2 for 3 on the day -- the decisive throwing error occurred. Taylorsville's Jordan West recorded the complete-game victory by striking out four. He got out of several early jams with double plays to end the first and third innings.
