Region 2 champion Taylorsville kept its tourney hopes going by squeaking out a narrow win over Lone Peak, as Dalton Carroll scattered seven hits and struck out six batters without a walk in a complete-game shutout victory. Taylorsville had just two hits compared to seven for Lone Peak, but Larenz Stansfield smacked a run-scoring double and Jake Davison added the other RBI for the Warriors. Parker Kinkaid went 3-for-3 in a losing cause for Lone Peak. Micah Hanneman took the hard-luck loss for the Knights, allowing just two hits and one earned run over seven innings, with three walks and six strikeouts.
