Syracuse stayed alive in the 5A tournament by scoring four runs in the sixth inning and two more in the seventh to send it into extra innings before scoring a run in the eighth to win it. Hayden Udy had four hits for Syracuse and he, Braden Roberts, Jordan Pobanz and Rieley Gibson each knocked in a pair of runs apiece for the Titans. Freshman Adam Johnson came on to pitch the final three innings and picked up the win for Syracuse, allowing just two hits and a run. For Riverton, Trevor Peterson and Jimi Dixon each had two hits and an RBI, while Greyson Bogden, Jared Barton, Jared White, Tanner Draper and Joe Barlow also each knocked in a run.
