Junior right-hander Riley Ottesen pitched the Cavemen into Thursday’s championship semifinals, throwing a complete-game six-hitter with six strikeouts. Ottesen also poked a two-run single to give A.F. its first two runs in the second inning and wound up with three base hits and a run scored himself. B.J. Eldredge, Zac Haws and Danny Beddes also had RBIs for American Fork, and Zac Willis and Cade Hill each had two hits. For Jordan, which dropped into the one-loss bracket where it will face Taylorsville today, Brennon Anderson had a big day at the plate with three hits, including a solo home run in the fourth inning and an RBI double in the sixth. Mark Krueger had the Beetdiggers’ other RBI with a broken-bat double.
