The Thunderbirds put nine runs on the board in the first inning before Sam Wright could come in and shut down the barrage of runs by Timpview. He then proceeded to pitch a gem for the remaining 6 1/3 innings allowing one hit, no walks and struck out nine batters while the Orem Tigers put 23 unanswered runs on the board of their own in a 24-9 sluggfest giving Orem the sweep of the series. Parker Overly led Orem with 4 hits including a triple and double. Mikhail Jones also had 4 hits with a double.
