Orem's pitcher Parker Overly faced Wasatch ace pitcher Parker Bamgartner in what turned into a pitching duel through 6 innings with Orem holding a slim lead of 1-0 before Jake Hasler delivered a lead off hit in the top of the seventh inning. Wasatch brought in a relief pitcher to face Parker Overly who hit the first pitch off the left field wall to build the lead to 2-0. Nolan Gray then delivered the final blow with another double to score Overly. Overly finished the game with 8 strikeouts and only one hit against him.
