The Badgers claimed their fourth state baseball championship in five years thanks to a clutch performance by Randy Ellett. Ellett was the winning pitcher and drove in all three runs on three singles for Wayne. Chris Manzanares relieved Ellett in the sixth and threw two scoreless innings to record the save. Riley Miller drove in Panguitch's one run.
