The Bobcats won their third 1A state baseball championship in the last seven years by routing the Thunderbirds. Brooks Leach threw a complete game, tripled and drove in two runs to lead Panguitch. Freshman Dalan Bennett had three hits and four RBIs for the Bobcats. Panguitch again started fast, scoring eight runs in the first inning. In the three state tournament games, the Bobcats scored a total of 23 runs in the first inning.
