Dallen Reber had an RBI single to get the Flyers on the board in the bottom of the first. Cottonwood pitcher Derrick Pitts, who has only one inning of varsity experience all season, looked a little shaky, but got some help from right fielder Austin Robbs when he threw out a runner at home trying to tag up on a fly out. Robbs followed up his defensive gem with a solo home run to tie things up in the top of the second. Robbs is at it again. He laced a double off the left-field wall for a double. Ryan Thomas scored on the play, but Austin Wadsworth was thrown out at home. Dixie tied it with a bases-loaded walk from Stephen Nelson. Cottonwood has gone back ahead with RBI singles from Wadsworth and Corie Sullivan. Ryan Thomas added a two-run single in the sixth to add some insurance runs.
