The Timberwolves won their first state baseball championship since moving up to the 5A classification. Grant Jimenez set the tone for Timpanogos with a three-run home run in the first. Rhett Nelson picked up his third victory in the state tournament for the T-Wolves. He was relieved by Tanner Wolfe in the fifth inning. He allowed the Miners to load the bases in the seventh, but got out of the jam.
