The Bees advanced to the championship contest against Cottonwood by beating Woods Cross 8-7 with a run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Khord Mehl led-off the seventh with a double off the wall, and Danny Nevling drove him in with a shot to the gap. It capped a 3-for-4 day that included a two-run home run in the first inning. He also threw an inning of scoreless baseball to get the win on the mound. Colton Hansen had a couple of RBIs for Woods Cross as the Wildcats' magical season came to a close with a third-place finish.
