The Spartans pounded out 17 hits to advance in the 4A state playoffs. Lead-off hitter f+bRyan Matsonf-b did exactly what is expected of that position as he drew three walks and scored after all three. f+bJoe Andersonf-b went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and f+bJosh Sturgisf-b was 3-for-5 with a couple of runs knocked in. Mountain Crest's season is finished with the loss.
