Murray jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second, but the Timberwolves scratched back to take a 5-4 lead. The Spartans tied the game 5-5 on a Bryce Herrera single in the fourth. But the T-Wolves blew the game open with four in the sixth, with the game winning run coming across on a bases-loaded walk to Mac Nelson. Ryder Olsen, who had four hits in the game, followed with an RBI single to right and then two runners scored on a sacrifice fly to deep right field by Alex Wolfe. Nelson went the distance on the mound, striking out eight, in earning his third tournament win and tournament MVP honors.
